The three clocks
Every vendor in this category writes "real time" on the page. Almost none of them says which of these three things it means, so the phrase has stopped carrying information. Here is the split, and you can check which side any product sits on by opening its own page.
- Composed during the call. The product hears the sentence, works out what is underneath it, and writes the response for that sentence. Nothing was authored in advance, because the response depends on the exact words and on the four minutes before them.
- Fired during the call, written before it. A human wrote the text last week or last quarter. A trigger matches, the card appears. The delay is near zero and the content is fixed.
- Delivered after the call. Transcription runs live, the coaching does not. A summary, a score or a highlight reel arrives when the call is over.
Only the first two can change what the rep says on the call in front of them. The third changes what the rep says on the next twenty calls, which is a real job and a different one.
Clock 1: the line is composed while the buyer is still talking
One product on this page does this, and it is ours, so read the next paragraph knowing that.
Objeq. It listens to both sides of a live call through the Chrome tab, detects the fear underneath the objection, and whispers a 7-step treatment to the rep, visible only to them, in under two seconds. Nothing is written in advance. "It is too expensive" from a buyer who already asked about onboarding is a different objection than the same four words from a buyer who has not asked a single question, and a trigger cannot tell the two apart. Hebrew and English end to end, transcription and coaching both. $99 Starter and $149 Pro per seat per month, no seat minimum, no platform fee, 3-day trial with the card up front. (Sources: Objeq facts, last verified 11 Sep 2026, and Objeq pricing.)
The limit is just as specific, and it is the thing to check first: the call has to run in a Chrome tab on a computer. Google Meet, Zoom or Teams joined from the browser, or a browser dialer such as GoHighLevel. A desk phone or a native desktop softphone has no tab, so there is nothing to hear. The two-second figure is our own claim and not yet a published customer measurement, which the facts page says out loud.
Clock 2: help arrives during the call, written before it
Six products, and not one of them is weak. For a floor that repeats the same twenty situations all day, a pre-written card is faster, more consistent and easier for a compliance team to sign off than anything composed live. What you are buying is a fast retrieval layer over content your own team wrote. If that content is good and maintained, this tier wins on price and on control.
The failure mode is narrow and worth naming before you sign: a card fires on a trigger. When the buyer says something nobody predicted, the trigger does not match and the screen stays empty at the exact second the rep needed it.
- Clari Copilot: "Real-time transcription, instant insights, and live battlecards empower reps to respond to objections." Seven battlecards ship built in. No published price. (Recorded from clari.com and clari.com/pricing, checked 12 Sep 2026. Every clari.com address we cited now returns a 301 to salesloft.com as of 29 Sep 2026, so the quotes stay as recorded and are no longer linked. See Objeq vs Clari Copilot.)
- Balto: live checklists, scripted prompts and compliance alerts pushed to a contact center agent mid-call, authored by your enablement or QA team. Every button is Book a Demo. (balto.ai, checked 9 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Balto.)
- Avoma: Answer Cards fire on an admin-authored trigger phrase and stay on screen for 20 seconds. The live layer is not in the base seat: $19 Startup annual plus the $29 Conversation Intelligence add-on, so $48 a seat annual and $64 month to month is the entry price for live guidance. (avoma.com/pricing, checked 11 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Avoma.)
- Outreach: "Live Coaching: Real-time Content Cards", described as enablement-created content cards generated in live meetings. All four packages say Request pricing, and the model mixes seats with consumption-based AI credits. (outreach.io pricing, checked 12 Sep 2026. See Salesloft vs Outreach.)
- Dialpad: a phone system with coaching built in. Real-time assist cards fire on keywords your admins configure, and because it owns the telephony it does not need a browser tab. Its own page no longer publishes a Sell per-seat figure. (See Objeq vs Dialpad for the quotes and dates.)
- Revenue.io: Moments surfaces template responses triggered by Salesforce fields. Its pricing page states it is built for Salesforce teams of 15 or more seats and publishes no list price. (See Objeq vs Revenue.io for the quotes and dates.)
Clock 3: live transcription, coaching afterwards
This is the biggest and best funded part of the category, and it is where most people searching for real-time call coaching actually land. These products do transcribe while the call is open. That is a real-time feature. The coaching output still arrives when the call is over.
- Gong: records, transcribes and analyzes after the call for manager review. Per-user licenses plus a platform fee based on the number of users, and no number on the page. (gong.io/pricing, checked 12 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Gong and Gong alternatives.)
- Sybill: summaries, pre-meeting briefs, follow-up emails and CRM autofill. Nothing on its home or pricing page describes anything happening during the live call. Free plan, then $30 and $90 per user per month annual. (sybill.ai/pricing, checked 11 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Sybill.)
- Otter.ai: in its own words, "Your AI notetaker is now also your Conversational Knowledge Engine." Live transcription and speaker recognition during the call, then summaries, decisions and action items after it. Basic free, Pro $16.99 a user a month, Business $30. (otter.ai, checked 22 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Otter.ai.)
- Fathom: "Fathom summarizes your meetings so you can focus on the conversation." Its own page says summaries are instantly available after your call, which is the word that decides it. (fathom.video, checked 21 Sep 2026. See Objeq vs Fathom.)
So here is the test that cuts through every product page in this category. Ask what the rep sees while the buyer is mid-sentence. If the answer is a transcript, a waveform or nothing, you are looking at clock 3 no matter how many times the page says real time.

Five of the eleven publish no price at all. Where a vendor publishes nothing we say so and name the source we checked, instead of printing a third-party number as if the vendor had said it.
"Handcrafted sales battlecards by the always brilliant folks at 30 Minutes to President's Club."
Clari, describing the seven real-time battlecards that ship with Copilot. Recorded from the Clari blog, checked 12 Sep 2026; the post no longer resolves. Quoted because it is the most honest sentence any clock-2 vendor has written about itself. The cards are good. They were also written by people who have never heard your buyer.Four checks before you sign anything that says real-time
- Where does the audio come from? A browser tab, a bot that joins the meeting, or the phone system itself. This one question decides whether the product works on your calls at all, and it is the most common reason a trial dies in week one.
- Who writes the words the rep reads? If the answer is your enablement team, add the authoring and maintenance hours to the price. A card library nobody has touched in two quarters is decoration.
- What happens on an objection nobody scripted? Ask for that demo specifically. Say a sentence the vendor has not seen and watch the screen.
- Is the live layer in the seat price? At least one vendor here puts it in a paid add-on, which roughly doubles the real entry cost. Read the add-on column, not the headline number.
Where Objeq is the wrong answer
- Your calls do not run in a browser. Desk phones, native softphones, a contact center stack. We hear the buyer through the Chrome tab. No tab, no product. Balto and Dialpad are built for that floor.
- You need compliance scripting with an audit trail. When the requirement is that the exact approved sentence is read every time, a composed line is the wrong design. Clock 2 exists for this.
- You want pipeline analytics and deal intelligence. Gong and Clari do that and we do not. We produce no forecast and no deal board.
- You want a free tier. There is not one here, and nothing in this category that runs live has one. What the free tiers actually give you.

FAQ
I want help while the call is still running, not a report the next morning. Which tool does that?
Seven products put something on the rep's screen before the call ends, and they split into two groups. Six of them fire text a person wrote in advance when a trigger matches: Clari Copilot, Balto, Avoma, Outreach, Dialpad and Revenue.io. One composes the response during the call for the sentence actually spoken, with nothing authored in advance: Objeq, $99 and $149 per seat per month, published, one seat minimum, as long as the call plays in a Chrome tab. Everything else in this category, including every AI notetaker, produces its output after the call has ended.
Is an AI meeting assistant the same as real-time call coaching?
No, and this is the most common mix-up in the category. Otter, Fathom and Sybill transcribe live, which is a real-time feature, then deliver the coaching value afterwards as a summary, a score or a follow-up email. Live transcription is not live coaching. The test is simple: ask whether the product tells the rep what to say while the buyer is still talking, or tells a manager what happened once the call is over.
What is the difference between a battlecard and composed real-time coaching?
A battlecard is text a person wrote before the call, shown when a trigger fires: a keyword, a phrase, a CRM field. Composed coaching writes the response during the call for the exact sentence spoken and the minutes before it. Both appear while the call is live, which is why vendors use the same words for both. The difference only shows up on the objection nobody predicted, where a trigger has nothing to match and a card has nothing to show.
Does real-time call coaching work on a desk phone?
It depends on how the product hears the call. Objeq is a Chrome extension and hears the customer through the browser tab the call plays in, so a desk phone or a native desktop softphone has no tab and nothing to listen to. Contact center platforms such as Balto, and phone systems such as Dialpad, sit inside the telephony itself, which is why they are the right purchase for a floor that is not running calls in a browser.
How much does real-time call coaching cost?
Two of the live products publish a number. Objeq at $99 and $149 per seat per month with no seat minimum and no platform fee. Avoma at $19 to $39 a seat annual plus a $29 add-on that contains the live layer, so $48 a seat annual is the honest entry price for live guidance. Clari Copilot, Balto, Outreach and Revenue.io publish nothing and route you to a demo. Of the clock-3 products, Sybill, Otter and Fathom all publish prices and all have a free tier, because transcription is a commodity and live guidance is not.
Does real-time call coaching work in Hebrew?
Objeq runs end to end in Hebrew and English: the transcription, the objection detection and the whisper itself. That is unusual here, because the live products in this category are built for English contact centers first, and most of them publish no language list at all.
Still comparing? Type a real objection into the live demo and judge the answer yourself.
