The one question that sorts the whole category
When does the help arrive? That is it. Everything else is a feature list. A tool that talks to the rep at second 40 of a live call and a tool that emails a score on Friday are not two versions of the same product. They fix different failures, they cost different money, and they are bought by different people.
Here is the count that makes the point, from the eight tools we track on the real-time tools page: of the five tools that do anything during a live call, four show the rep a card a human wrote before the call. One writes the answer to the sentence that was just said. And of all eight tools, four publish a price and four make you ask.
Job 1: live help, while the call is still open
The rep hears "it's too expensive" and has four seconds. A live copilot detects the objection and puts a response on the rep's screen, visible only to them. This is the only job in the category where the outcome of the call on the screen can still change.
The best public evidence that this works does not come from us. It comes from a competitor measuring their own product:
"Sellers who use Clari Copilot's real-time battlecards see 10% more wins, on average, than those who don't."
Clari, Clari Labs battlecards post, clari.com, checked 12 Sep 2026. The same post describes those cards as "handcrafted sales battlecards by the always brilliant folks at 30 Minutes to President's Club", which is also the honest admission that the content is written before the call, not during it.Who does this job: Objeq (browser calls, Hebrew and English, $99-$149 per seat per month, published), Balto (voice contact centers on Five9, Genesys, NICE), Clari Copilot (keyword-triggered cards, quote-only), Attention (enterprise, quote-only).
Job 2: post-call review
The call ends, the tool transcribes it, scores it against a rubric and hands the manager something to talk about. This is a real and useful job. It is also the job most of the money in this category is spent on, and it is worth being clear-eyed about what it cannot do: it arrives after the only moment when the deal was still in play.
Who does this job: Gong, Avoma, Sybill, Oliv, and every live copilot above as a second feature. See the head-to-heads: vs Gong, vs Avoma, vs Sybill, vs Oliv.
Job 3: manager and pipeline analytics
Call data rolled up into deal risk, forecast and team views. If this is what you are buying, you are buying a revenue platform that happens to include coaching, and you should price it as one. Gong does not publish a price at all:
"Licenses are priced per user." · "There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported."
Gong, pricing page, gong.io/pricing, checked 12 Sep 2026. Two sentences, no number, and no mention of the live call anywhere on the page. What a sales coaching tool costs
Public self-serve pricing is the exception in this category, not the rule. Four of the eight tools we track publish a number you can read without a sales call:
| Tool | Primary job | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Objeq | Live help during the call | $99 Starter / $149 Pro per seat per month, 3-day trialSource: Objeq pricing page, checked 13 Sep 2026 |

| Oliv | Post-call review | Published per user per monthSource: oliv.ai/pricing, checked 10 Sep 2026 |
| Gong | Pipeline analytics, post-call | Not published, quote-onlySource: gong.io/pricing, checked 12 Sep 2026 |

| Balto | Live help on contact center voice | Not published, quote-onlySource: balto.ai, checked 9 Sep 2026 |

Where a vendor does not publish a price we say "not published" instead of printing a third-party guess as if the vendor said it.
Where we are the wrong answer
Objeq runs as a Chrome extension side panel on browser calls: Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and browser dialers such as GoHighLevel. Three cases where you should buy something else, and we would rather say it here than waste your trial:
Your reps call from a CCaaS phone floor. Buy Balto. It is built for Five9, Genesys and NICE, and we are not.
Your actual problem is forecasting. Buy Gong or Clari. We do not do pipeline analytics and we are not going to pretend a coach score is a forecast.
You want a recording library and searchable transcripts across the whole company. That is Gong and Avoma territory, at their price.
We are one of the eight tools on our own comparison table, and we say so on the table. Read it as a vendor page, check the sources, and go look at the two or three that fit your motion.

FAQ
What is a sales coaching tool?
Software that listens to your reps' sales calls and turns them into coaching. It splits into three jobs that are often sold under the same word: live help during the call, review and scoring after the call, and manager analytics that roll calls up into pipeline and forecast views.
What is the best sales coaching tool in 2026?
It depends which of the three jobs you are buying. For live help on browser calls (Meet, Zoom, Teams, browser dialers) in Hebrew or English, Objeq, at $99-$149 per seat per month. For live help on a contact center phone floor, Balto. For post-call review on a small budget, Sybill or Avoma. For pipeline analytics at enterprise budget, Gong or Clari.
How much does a sales coaching tool cost?
Four of the eight tools we track publish a price: Objeq at $99-$149 per seat per month, Sybill at $30-$90 per user per month, and Avoma and Oliv with published per-user tiers. Gong, Clari Copilot, Balto and Outreach are quote-only and publish no number.
Do sales coaching tools actually change call outcomes?
The strongest public evidence comes from Clari, measuring their own product: "Sellers who use Clari Copilot's real-time battlecards see 10% more wins, on average, than those who don't." That is a vendor measuring themselves, so weigh it accordingly, but it is the best public number in the category and it is about live help, not post-call review.
What is the difference between a sales coaching tool and conversation intelligence?
Conversation intelligence is the recording, transcription and analysis layer. Coaching is what someone does with it. Most conversation intelligence products added coaching features, and most live coaching products added transcription, so the labels now overlap almost completely. Ignore the label and ask when the help arrives.
