Objeq vs Jiminny in 2026, and the honest answer about which one your team needs first

Updated September 15, 2026 · By the Objeq team

Short answer. These two do not compete, they sit on opposite sides of the same call. Jiminny records every call, email and meeting, analyses them, and gives managers a library and a scorecard to coach from afterwards. It publishes no price, and third-party research puts it at roughly $83 to $85 per user per month on a 12-month minimum with a setup fee. Objeq does nothing after the call except a short debrief. It listens live and puts one line on the rep's screen while the buyer is still talking, at $99 to $149 per seat per month, published, one seat, no minimum. If your reps say the right things and still lose, buy the call library. If they freeze at the objection itself, a recording they watch on Thursday does not help them at 2pm on Tuesday.

What Jiminny actually does, in its own words

"Jiminny captures and analyzes every email, phone and video call, so Revenue Leaders can see what's winning deals and coach what's not."

Jiminny homepage, jiminny.com, checked 15 Sep 2026. Quoted because it is the clearest statement of when the coaching happens, and that timing is the whole comparison.

The site lays the product out as a sequence: it records every interaction, then the AI uncovers insights and improves performance. Both steps are worth money. Both of them happen after the customer has hung up.

That is not a criticism. It is the category. Gong, Chorus and Jiminny all sell the same shape: capture everything, find the pattern, coach the person. Jiminny's version is aimed at smaller revenue teams than Gong's, and its reviewers consistently rate it well for that.

The split, in one sentence

Jiminny makes your rep better for the next call. Objeq tries to save this one.

Those are different jobs with different budgets and different buyers. A revenue leader buys a call library because the team's average is too low and nobody can see why. A rep wants a live copilot because there are four sentences a buyer can say that empty their head, and they have never once produced a good answer to them under pressure.

Objeq listens to both sides of a live call, works out the fear sitting behind the objection, and writes a treatment for that exact sentence in the rep's side panel, invisible to the buyer. It is built to stay quiet through discovery and small talk and to speak when the buyer starts leaving.

That is a design claim about how Objeq is built, not a measured statistic. We do not publish a percentage for how often it stays quiet, because we have no customer-scale number we would stand behind.

Price, contract and trial, without the marketing fog

Jiminny does not publish a rate card. The site ends in "Book a Demo". Third-party pricing research reports recording seats at about $83 to $85 per user per month billed annually, about $100 per user per month billed monthly, a 12-month minimum, a one-time setup fee, and cheaper insight seats at about $42 for people who only need to watch recordings and read dashboards.

Two honest notes on that. First, per seat those numbers sit under our $99, and we are not going to bury it. Second, they are third-party estimates, not a Jiminny quote, so treat them as reported and dated rather than as a price you can hold anyone to.

And on trials, Jiminny wins outright. Its site advertises a 14 day free trial with no credit card required. Ours is 3 days and takes a card up front, charged only when the trial ends, refundable in full within 14 days of the first charge. If the easiest possible start is what you are optimising for, that is their column, not ours.

Where Jiminny is the right answer and we are not

You cannot see what is happening in your pipeline. If the honest problem is that nobody knows why deals stall, you need the recordings and the analytics. Objeq gives you nothing there.

You are onboarding new reps. A library of real calls from your best performers is the fastest ramp there is. We do not have one.

You need CRM activity captured automatically. That is platform work and Objeq does not do it.

You want a long, free, card-free evaluation. 14 days without a card beats 3 days with one. Say what you want about our trial, that comparison is not close.

Where the live line is the thing you actually need

Your reps already know the right answer and still do not say it. This is the common case and coaching alone is slow at fixing it. Knowing the script in a review room and producing it while a buyer is pushing back are separate skills.

Your team is small. Five reps do not generate enough calls for a manager to mine patterns from, and nobody has time to watch them. A 12-month minimum for a library nobody opens is an expensive filing cabinet.

Your deals die on the same four sentences. "It's too expensive." "Send me an email." "I need to think about it." "We already have a vendor." Every one of those has a treatment, and the only moment it is worth anything is 1.5 seconds after it is spoken. We wrote out our answers to them on the objection blog, free, whether or not you buy anything.

How to decide this week

1. Take your last ten lost deals. Not a feeling, the actual list.

2. Mark each one: did the rep say the wrong thing, or did the rep say nothing? Wrong thing means a coaching problem, and Jiminny is built for that. Nothing, or a rambling save attempt, means a moment problem.

3. If it is a moment problem, test it in a minute. Type the exact sentence that killed the deal into our demo and read what comes back. No signup, no email address.

4. If it is both, buy the cheap one first. One Objeq seat is $99 this month with no contract. A 12-month platform commitment is a different kind of decision and it deserves the demo call.

What we can prove, and what we cannot

We have no customer outcome study, no published close-rate result, and the demonstrations on this site are staged and labelled. Jiminny is an established platform with a real customer base and public reviews we cannot match. The price and contract figures on this page come from third-party research rather than from Jiminny, so treat them as reported and dated. What we can put in writing is our own price, our seat minimum, our setup time and what happens in the moment the buyer pushes back. Those are on the facts page, dated, and that page overrules every other page on this site when they disagree.

FAQ

Does Jiminny coach during a live call?

No. Jiminny's homepage says it "captures and analyzes every email, phone and video call, so Revenue Leaders can see what's winning deals and coach what's not", in a sequence where it records the interaction first and the AI surfaces insights after. The coaching happens in review, not in the moment. Checked 15 September 2026.

How much does Jiminny cost per user?

Jiminny publishes no rate card, the site ends in "Book a Demo". Third-party pricing research reports about $83 to $85 per user per month billed annually, about $100 per user per month billed monthly, a 12-month minimum, a one-time setup fee, and cheaper insight seats around $42 for people who only view recordings. Checked 15 September 2026. Objeq publishes $99 Starter and $149 Pro per seat per month, no minimum, no setup fee.

Which one should a five-person team buy first?

It depends on where your deals actually die. If reps say the right things and still lose, you have a coaching problem and a call library is the right purchase. If your reps freeze at the objection itself, a recording they watch on Thursday does not help them at 2pm on Tuesday. They are not substitutes and plenty of teams eventually run both.

Does Jiminny have a free trial?

Jiminny's site advertises a 14 day free trial with no credit card required. Checked 15 September 2026. Objeq's trial is 3 days and takes a card up front, charged only when the trial ends, with a full refund within 14 days of the first charge. On trial terms alone Jiminny is the easier start and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Can Objeq replace a call recording and analytics platform?

No. Objeq is not a call library. No searchable archive of every call, no deal boards, no CRM activity capture, no manager analytics across a team. It gives the rep a line during the call and a short debrief after it. Anyone who needs the archive needs a platform like Jiminny, Gong or Chorus.
