Two kinds of feedback, and one does not replace the other
Feedback after the call makes the rep better at the next call. It compounds, it is how a team builds a standard, and it is the only way a manager sees patterns across fifty conversations instead of the one they happened to sit in on.
Feedback during the call changes the outcome of the call being coached. Nothing that arrives after the call can do that, no matter how fast it arrives or how good the score is.
A team that buys only the first one gets a very well documented record of deals it lost. A team that buys only the second one has no way to tell whether anything improved. The useful question is not which is better; it is which one you are missing.

Where a vendor does not publish prices we say so and link the third-party source, instead of printing an estimate as if the vendor had quoted it.
The number to ask about is the lag
Every vendor in this category will tell you feedback is "instant." Ask a narrower question: how long until the rep changes behaviour because of it. The automated part usually lands within minutes. The part that actually moves a rep, a manager saying "here is what to say next time," lands whenever the manager has an hour. On a team running high call volume, that gap is measured in dozens of live conversations, and every one of them was a chance that closed with the old habit still in place.
You can shrink the lag two ways. Give managers a shorter review cycle, which costs manager hours you probably do not have. Or move part of the coaching into the call itself, so the correction happens while the objection is open and the debrief afterwards only has to confirm it.
Picking one for a team of 5 versus a team of 50
Five reps, deals dying on objections. The bottleneck is the live call, not reporting. Live guidance plus a per-call debrief covers it, and you do not need a platform fee to get there.
Fifty reps, forecast is the problem. You need cross-team analytics and deal boards, which is Gong's home turf and worth its price if that is genuinely the job.
Small team, just needs the paperwork done. Sybill or Oliv. Neither is coaching; both are documentation, and that is a fine thing to buy on purpose.

FAQ
What is a sales coaching feedback tool?
A tool that records a sales call and returns feedback on it: a transcript, a summary, a score against a rubric, and usually a manager view across the team. The feedback arrives after the call ends, which is what separates it from real-time coaching software that talks to the rep during the call.
When does the feedback actually reach the rep?
With most feedback platforms the automated part lands within minutes of the call, and the human part, the manager's comment, lands whenever the manager gets to it. That gap is the thing to measure. A rep on forty calls a week can repeat the same mistake many times inside a two-day review cycle.
Is a sales coaching feedback tool the same as sales coaching software?
No. A feedback tool grades a call that is already over. Real-time coaching software speaks to the rep while the objection is still open. Objeq does both: a whisper during the call and a debrief with a coach score after it. Gong and Sybill do the post-call half only.
What should a sales team coaching feedback platform give the manager?
Three things at minimum: a per-call debrief the rep can read without a meeting, a score that is comparable across reps and weeks, and a team view that shows who is stuck on what. Objeq ships automatic call debriefs, coach scores, a team leaderboard and a manager dashboard.
