HubSpot does sales coaching feedback. It starts at $90 a seat plus $1,500, and it arrives after the call

Updated September 26, 2026 · By the Objeq team

Short answer. Yes, HubSpot has coaching feedback, and it is called conversation intelligence. HubSpot's knowledge base states the gate in one sentence: "If you're a user with an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise seat, you can transcribe and analyze recordings." Checked 26 Sep 2026. So the entry price is Professional. Fetched from HubSpot's own pricing page the same day: Professional is $90 a seat a month billed annually ($100 paying monthly) and carries a one-time Professional Onboarding fee of $1,500. Starter is $7 annual and does not include it. And the timing is written on HubSpot's own AI coaching page: "After calls are recorded, open the call summary to see the transcript, tracked term highlights, and key topics discussed." That is a good product. It answers what happened. It does not answer what to say next, because by the time it speaks the call is over. Objeq is the other kind and costs $99 a seat with no onboarding fee.

The tier where coaching actually starts

People search "HubSpot sales coaching feedback tool" from inside a HubSpot account, usually on Starter, and find nothing. That is not a missing menu item. It is a tier gate, and HubSpot states it plainly.

"If you're a user with an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise seat, you can transcribe and analyze recordings."

HubSpot knowledge base, Review call recordings and transcripts, knowledge.hubspot.com/calling/review-call-recordings-and-transcripts, checked 26 Sep 2026.

Read the sentence carefully, because the seat matters more than the account. It says an assigned Professional or Enterprise seat, not a Professional account. In HubSpot's seat model a rep without an assigned Sales Seat on that tier does not get the feature even if the company pays for Professional. So the question is not "are we on Professional", it is "how many of our reps hold a paid seat on it".

What it costs, including the number that gets left out

Fetched from hubspot.com/pricing/sales on 26 Sep 2026. These are HubSpot's published numbers, not a directory's guess.

Sales Hub tierPer seat / monthOne-time onboardingCoaching feedback included?
Free$0, up to 2 usersNoneNo
Starter$7 billed annually, $20 monthlyNoneNo
Professional$90 billed annually, $100 monthly$1,500Yes, conversation intelligence
Enterprise$150$3,500Yes
Objeq$99 Starter, $149 ProNoneLive, during the call only

The $1,500 is the interesting line and almost nobody puts it in a comparison table. Do the arithmetic for a team of five on Professional. Five seats times $90 times twelve months is $5,400, plus $1,500 onboarding, so year one is $6,900, an effective $115 a seat a month. Year two falls back to $90 and the fee does not repeat. For ten reps the fee spreads thinner: $10,800 plus $1,500 is $12,300, about $102 a seat in year one.

And here is the honest part that cuts against us. You are not buying a coaching tool for that money. You are buying a CRM with coaching inside it. Pipelines, sequences, quotes, reporting and forecasting all come in the same box. Comparing $90 of HubSpot Professional to $99 of Objeq as if they were the same purchase is dishonest, and we are not doing it. The comparison that is fair is narrower: what does each one do about the sentence a buyer says out loud at 14:02 on a Tuesday.

When the feedback arrives, in HubSpot's own words

This is the whole difference, and we did not have to infer it. HubSpot's AI sales coach page lays out the workflow step by step.

"Turn on call recording and transcription for your team." · "After calls are recorded, open the call summary to see the transcript, tracked term highlights, and key topics discussed." · "Create playlists of call clips that show what great looks like, such as strong discovery, clean objection handling, or effective closes."

HubSpot, AI sales coaching and call analysis, hubspot.com/products/artificial-intelligence/use-cases/sales-coach-sales-reps, quoted verbatim, checked 26 Sep 2026.

Record, then open, then build playlists. Every verb happens after the buyer hangs up. That is not a flaw, it is the product category. Post-call conversation intelligence is how a manager finds a pattern across forty calls, and a pattern is something no live tool can see. If your problem is "I do not know why we lose", HubSpot Professional answers it and you should stop reading here.

The problem it cannot touch is the other one. A rep hears "we already have a vendor", freezes for four seconds, and says something forgettable. The transcript will show you that on Thursday. The deal died on Tuesday.

Type that objection in and read the answer

Takes about a minute. No email, no install, no call with anyone.

The one page that could have proved us wrong, opened and quoted

Before publishing this we went looking for the HubSpot feature that would falsify the paragraph above, because writing a comparison without doing that is just writing what we already believed. The candidate is Breeze and its Sales Coach Assistant. Here is the sentence.

"Add the Sales Coach Assistant for personalized coaching recommendations mid-deal."

HubSpot, AI sales coaching and call analysis, hubspot.com/products/artificial-intelligence/use-cases/sales-coach-sales-reps, checked 26 Sep 2026.

Mid-deal is not mid-call, and the difference is the entire subject of this page. The same page says the assistant watches for issues mid-deal and recommends action before problems become losses. That is the deal record, between conversations, on a timescale of days. It is genuinely useful and it is not a whisper in a live conversation. As of 26 Sep 2026 we found no HubSpot claim, on the pricing page, the product page or the knowledge base, that anything appears on a rep's screen while a buyer is talking. If HubSpot ships that, this page is wrong, and we will rewrite it rather than leave it up.

What Objeq does not do for a HubSpot team, said before you ask

It does not integrate with HubSpot. No logged call, no note, no deal update, no custom property, and no HubSpot integration we would promise you today. Anyone telling you a second tool is free to adopt because "it syncs" should show you the sync.

It keeps no call library. No recordings, no transcripts, no playlists, no searchable archive, no coaching history to scroll through in a one-to-one. Those are exactly the things HubSpot Professional gives you, and they are the reason a team often needs both or neither.

It does nothing if the audio is not in a Chrome tab. Meet, Zoom or Teams joined from the browser work, and so do browser dialers like GoHighLevel. Desk phone, mobile or a native desktop softphone means silence. That is the whole compatibility rule.

It does not manage anything. No scorecards, no rubric, no rep leaderboard, no manager dashboard.

Who each one is for

Buy HubSpot Professional if you have a manager who will actually watch clips, more than ten reps, a repeatable process you want to document, and deals that die in the follow-up rather than in the conversation. The $1,500 is annoying and the product is worth it.

Add a live copilot if you have two to ten sellers, nobody with the job title "enablement", calls taken in a browser, and a specific recurring sentence that kills your deals in real time. Objeq hears the objection, works out the fear underneath it, and writes a treatment on the rep's screen in seconds, in Hebrew or English. Only the rep sees it. Then it is quiet again, which is most of the call, deliberately.

Buy neither yet if you cannot name the five objections you lost on last month. Go read your own notes first. Both purchases get easier and cheaper once you can.

How to decide this week without booking a demo

1. Open HubSpot billing and check which reps hold a Professional Sales Seat. If they already do, conversation intelligence is switched on or switchable, and you may own step one already.

2. Ask your finance person whether the $1,500 onboarding was paid. If you are quoting a fresh Professional upgrade to yourself, it is in year one and most spreadsheets miss it.

3. Pull the five deals you lost last month and write the sentence that ended each one. Five sentences, no analysis.

4. Sort those five into two piles: said on a call, or said in an email or silence. That split is your answer, and no vendor can tell you what it is.

5. If the call pile is bigger, type those sentences into a live copilot and read the actual lines it gives back, not the marketing claim. Our demo does that in a minute without an email address.

6. Run one real call with the extension on before buying a seat, so the browser-tab question answers itself.

What we can prove here, and what we cannot

Every HubSpot fact on this page is quoted or listed from a HubSpot page we opened ourselves on 26 Sep 2026, linked above: the pricing page, the knowledge base article on call recordings and transcripts, and the AI sales coach page. The prices are HubSpot's own published strings and they change; check them before you sign anything. We did not test HubSpot's product, we read what HubSpot publishes about it, and where a claim would have needed a login we left it out. We make no claim about HubSpot's Hebrew handling because we did not check it, and no claim about transcript accuracy because we have no measurement of it. On our side, the price, the setup, the browser limit and the behaviour in the objection moment are written down and dated on the facts page. We have no customer outcome study and no published win-rate number, ours or theirs.

The rest of the cluster

The same question with a different CRM underneath: Pipedrive sales coaching feedback. The general version with no CRM attached: sales coaching feedback tool. For teams inside a sequencer: Objeq vs Outreach and Objeq vs Salesloft. Coaching built from the recording: Objeq vs Gong, Objeq vs Chorus and Objeq vs Avoma. What "real-time" means across every tool that claims it: real-time sales coaching software. Every tool in one sourced table: the sales coaching software comparison. The category root: sales coaching tools and the three jobs. And the extension question specifically: sales coaching Chrome extensions, all 20 listings.

FAQ

Does HubSpot have sales coaching feedback built in?

Yes, on two tiers and not below them. HubSpot's own knowledge base says, word for word, "If you're a user with an assigned Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise seat, you can transcribe and analyze recordings." Checked 26 September 2026. That feature is conversation intelligence: it records the call, transcribes it, tracks terms, and lets a manager leave feedback on a specific moment. It is a real coaching product and for a team already living in HubSpot it is often the right first purchase. What it is not is help during the call. HubSpot's own AI sales coach page puts the workflow in its own words: "After calls are recorded, open the call summary to see the transcript, tracked term highlights, and key topics discussed."

What does HubSpot sales coaching actually cost per seat?

Conversation intelligence starts on Sales Hub Professional. Fetched from hubspot.com/pricing/sales on 26 September 2026: Free is $0 for up to 2 users, Starter is $7 a seat a month billed annually or $20 paying monthly, Professional is $90 a seat a month billed annually or $100 monthly and carries a one-time Professional Onboarding fee of $1,500, and Enterprise is $150 a seat a month with a one-time Enterprise Onboarding fee of $3,500. The $1,500 is the number that gets left out of comparison tables. Five reps on Professional in year one is $5,400 plus $1,500, so $6,900, an effective $115 a seat a month. Year two drops back to $90. Read that as the price of a CRM with coaching inside it, not the price of a coaching tool, because that is what you are buying.

Does Breeze or the Sales Coach Assistant help during a live call?

We opened the one page that could have changed this answer rather than assuming. HubSpot's AI sales coach page says: "Add the Sales Coach Assistant for personalized coaching recommendations mid-deal." Mid-deal is not mid-call. Its stated job there is watching for issues mid-deal and recommending action before problems become losses, which is the deal record, between conversations. Every timing sentence on that page is post-call. As of 26 September 2026 we found no HubSpot claim of a prompt appearing on a rep's screen while a buyer is speaking. If HubSpot ships one, this page is wrong and we will change it.

Does Objeq replace HubSpot?

No, and it does not integrate with it either. Objeq writes nothing to HubSpot: no logged call, no note on the contact, no deal update, no property. It is a Chrome extension that listens to the call playing in a browser tab and writes one line on the rep's screen, visible only to them. HubSpot stays your CRM and your system of record. If what you actually need is call outcomes landing on the deal automatically, that is HubSpot's job and we do not do it.

We already pay for HubSpot Professional. Why would we add anything?

Often you would not, and we will say so. If your deals are lost in the follow-up, in a slow sequence or a bad handoff, HubSpot Professional already covers it and a second tool is waste. The case for adding a live copilot is narrow: deals that turn on one unrehearsed sentence in the middle of a call. A transcript tells you on Thursday what went wrong on Tuesday, which is worth a lot for training a rep over a quarter and nothing for the call happening now. Decide by which of the two is losing you money.

Will Objeq work with the dialer our HubSpot team uses?

One test, and it has nothing to do with HubSpot. Does the call audio play in a Chrome tab? Objeq hears Google Meet, Zoom or Teams joined from the browser, and browser-based dialers such as GoHighLevel. Desk phone, mobile phone or a native desktop softphone means Objeq hears nothing, and no setting changes that. It is a hard limit of how the product works. Run one real call with the extension on before anybody buys a seat. Objeq is $99 a seat a month for Starter and $149 for Pro, published on our pricing page, three-day trial with the card up front, cancel in one click, full refund within 14 days of the first charge.
