Objeq vs Birdeye in 2026: Birdeye owns your reputation and your front desk, not the twenty seconds after the objection

Every claim below read off Birdeye's own pages on September 25, 2026 · By the Objeq team

Short answer, because this comparison has an unusual shape. Birdeye is not a sales coaching tool and never claimed to be one. Its home page reads "AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands" and "Win AI visibility, book appointments, and drive consistent CX at every location". It sells reviews, listings, social, surveys, insights, ticketing, appointments and an AI front desk. Nothing on the pages we fetched listens to a human rep on a live call and tells that rep what to say next. So if you typed "Birdeye alternative for sales coaching feedback", the honest answer is that you are not replacing Birdeye. You are adding a category it does not sell, and you may well want to keep Birdeye. One thing does come close and we open it below rather than hide it: Birdeye's operations coworker Myna has a Front Desk Agent that "Answers every call and chat, 24/7." That is AI on a live phone call. It replaces the person on the call. Objeq sits next to the person on the call and is never heard.

What Birdeye is, in its own words

Start from Birdeye's description of itself rather than a label we pin on it, because the label is where this comparison usually goes wrong.

"AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands. Win AI visibility, book appointments, and drive consistent CX at every location."

Birdeye home page, birdeye.com, fetched 25 September 2026.

The product is organised as four named coworkers. BirdAI is the orchestration layer, with multi-agent orchestration, integrations, an MCP server and a Google partnership. Jay does marketing: AI search, reviews, listings, social, marketing automation, chatbot, pages. Myna does operations: front desk, appointments, reminders, waitlist, insurance verification, and voice, email and text. Robin does customer experience: surveys, insights, competitors, ticketing, reporting.

Read that list of nineteen feature names and notice what is missing. There is no call recording product. No call scoring. No scorecards, no talk-ratio report, no manager review queue, and no live assist for an employee who is mid-conversation. Those are the nine or ten words that define the sales coaching category, and none of them appears. That is not a criticism of Birdeye. It is a different market.

The word "feedback" means two different things, and that is why this query exists

Someone searching "Birdeye alternative for sales coaching feedback" is standing on a genuine collision of vocabulary, so here it is spelled out.

Birdeye's kind of feedbackSales coaching feedback
Who gives itThe customerThe manager, or software
Who receives itThe business, and the publicOne rep
What it is aboutThe experience at a locationWhat the rep said on a call
Where it livesReviews, surveys, listingsCall recordings, scorecards, a live panel
When it arrivesAfter the visitAfter the call, or during it
Who sells itBirdeye, and reputation platformsGong, Clari Copilot, Jiminny, Balto, Objeq

Both are called feedback. One is your customer telling the internet how the visit went. The other is a person or a machine telling a rep that the line they used on the price objection did not work. Birdeye is excellent at the first column and sells nothing in the second. If you want the second column mapped out properly, we wrote a page on sales coaching feedback tools that covers what each one gives the rep, what it gives the manager, and how long the feedback takes to arrive.

Myna is the row that could have falsified this page, so we opened it

Birdeye does have AI that talks on a live phone call, which means a page claiming "Birdeye does nothing during a call" would be wrong. The operations coworker has its own site, and the deciding sentence is short.

"Answers every call and chat, 24/7. Books, reschedules, and cancels in your EHR."

Description of the Front Desk Agent, myna.ai, fetched 25 September 2026. The same page reads "Myna never misses a call. So your team never misses a patient."

So Birdeye has a real-time voice product. The difference is not timing, it is who is holding the phone.

Replacing the person and helping the person are two products, and no amount of shared vocabulary makes them one. If what you actually need is an AI that answers your inbound phone line, Objeq is the wrong tool and Myna is worth a look.

Insights AI analyses the public record, not the call

The other place a sales team might expect to find coaching inside Birdeye is the insights product, so we fetched that too.

Birdeye Insights AI analyses reviews, surveys and listings, checked 25 September 2026. The page does not mention coaching an employee, an agent or a sales rep, and does not mention analysing a recorded phone call. It aggregates customer feedback into scores and recommendations.

That is a clean line between two industries. Call intelligence vendors take the recording as the unit of analysis: see Gong, Clari Copilot and Jiminny, all of which sell call recording and scoring by name. Birdeye takes the customer's public statement as the unit. Objeq takes a single sentence, while it is still in the air.

Price: Birdeye publishes none, and the reason is in the form

We fetched Birdeye's pricing page on 25 September 2026. There are no plan names on it and no dollar figures.

"Pricing built around outcomes, not seat counts. One platform, one contract - replace point products and pay only for what you deploy at your locations."

Birdeye pricing page, birdeye.com/pricing, fetched 25 September 2026. To see a number you choose a location band, 1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999 or 1000+, enter a mobile number and press Get Pricing.

The location band is the most useful thing on that page. A product priced per location is sold to a business that has locations. A sales floor with eleven reps and no branches does not fit the shape of that form. And "not seat counts" is not a discount, it is a statement about who the buyer is.

Our side is on our pricing page and does not require a phone number: $99 a seat a month for Starter, $149 for Pro, three day trial, card up front, cancel in one click. Four of the tools in the coaching category publish a price and most do not, which we counted on the call coaching software map. Birdeye belongs with the majority that do not.

Empty cells are not scores. "Not on any page we fetched" means exactly that and nothing more: we read the home page, the pricing page, the products index, Insights AI and myna.ai on 25 September 2026. A product behind a sales call or inside a release we did not see will not appear here until we recheck.

Three cases where Objeq is the wrong answer to this search

This is a comparison page on our own site, so treat the previous section with the suspicion it deserves and read this one twice.

And one more, said plainly: if what you need is more reviews on Google for eleven dental clinics, no sales coaching tool on earth is going to help you and Birdeye probably will.

Questions people actually ask

Is Birdeye a sales coaching tool?

No, and it never says it is. Its home page sells "AI Coworkers for Multi-location Brands" around reviews, listings, surveys, appointments and customer experience. No call recording, no scoring, no live assist for a human rep appears in its nineteen named features, checked 25 September 2026.

What does Birdeye cost?

Birdeye publishes no price. The pricing page asks for your number of locations and a mobile number, and says pricing is "built around outcomes, not seat counts". Objeq is $99 a seat for Starter and $149 for Pro, printed on our pricing page.

Does Birdeye do anything during a live call?

Yes. Its Myna Front Desk Agent answers inbound calls itself, 24/7, and books appointments into an EHR. It replaces the person on the call. Objeq is silent and only the human rep sees it.

Does Birdeye record or score sales calls?

Not on any page we fetched. Insights AI analyses reviews, surveys and listings, and mentions neither call recordings nor coaching.

Can I run both?

Yes. They never touch the same surface. Birdeye works the public record and the inbound line; Objeq listens to a browser tab on an outbound call and writes to no CRM. We have not tested an integration and do not claim one.

Sources, all fetched on 25 September 2026: Birdeye's home page, its pricing page, its products index, its Insights AI page, and myna.ai for the Myna Front Desk Agent. Quoted sentences are Birdeye's own words. The Birdeye Frontdesk URL linked from its navigation returned HTTP 404 to our fetcher, which is why the front desk claims on this page are quoted from myna.ai instead. We publish no estimate of Birdeye's price, because Birdeye publishes none and a third-party guess is not a vendor statement. Objeq's prices come from our pricing page. Nothing here is estimated, and any "not found" on this page means not found on those five pages on that date.
