Real-time call coaching / Zoom Revenue Accelerator alternatives

Zoom Revenue Accelerator alternatives, and the three things Zoom charges before a rep sees a line

Start with the part most comparison pages get wrong: Zoom Revenue Accelerator really does coach a rep during a live call. Zoom's own newsroom, 22 July 2026: "Sales Assist surfaces competitive intelligence, objection guidance, discovery prompts, battlecards, and configurable framework capture in real time." That is not a recorder. So the useful question is not whether Zoom can do it, it is what Zoom charges and what it requires switched on. From Zoom's own pages, read 5 October 2026: Essentials is $66 per user per month billed annually, Premium is $99.99, both on top of a paid Pro, Business or Enterprise Zoom plan, which is a separate line. Cloud recording must be enabled and audio transcription must be enabled, as a documented prerequisite rather than a setting. And on the $66 tier the live guidance itself is metered: "usage rounded up in 6-second increments." Those four facts decide this purchase, and we have not found them assembled anywhere else.

What we read, and what we refuse to claim

Five Zoom properties, no review sites, no resellers, no vendor blogs: the conversation intelligence product page, the 22 July 2026 newsroom announcement, and three support articles: getting started with Revenue Accelerator, AI sales assist, and AI role-play, plus the product release notes. Read 5 October 2026.

Everything below is a documentation read, not a lab test. We did not buy a Revenue Accelerator license and we are not claiming anything about how well the guidance works, how fast it arrives, or whether reps like it. We have no number for Zoom's latency and we are not going to invent one. What a vendor publishes about its own prerequisites and its own billing is unusually reliable, because getting those wrong costs it support tickets, and that is the whole of what this page is made of.

One number we deliberately dropped: a secondary source claimed the Essentials tier caps live guidance at 60 minutes per month per user. That figure is not in Zoom's documentation, so it is not on this page. If you are buying Essentials, ask Zoom to confirm in writing whether a monthly ceiling exists on top of the metering, because the two are different things.

The price, in Zoom's own words

Zoom published the figures itself, which is rare in this category. Balto, Cresta and Gong all publish nothing.

"$66 per user per month, billed annually" (Zoom Revenue Accelerator Essentials)

"$99.99 per user per month, billed annually" (Zoom Revenue Accelerator Premium)

Source: news.zoom.com, announcement dated 22 July 2026, read by us 5 October 2026. Essentials was announced for August 2026; Premium and the Sales Assist, Ask ZRA and Sales Roleplay capabilities were announced as generally available.

There is a third tier, Elite, which appears throughout the support documentation as a license level and whose price Zoom does not publish. If a Zoom rep steers you to Elite, you are in an unpublished-pricing conversation and should treat it as one.

Now the arithmetic that the per-user figure hides. Zoom's getting-started article lists the prerequisite as a "Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Zoom Phone standalone account" plus a "licensed user with Zoom Revenue Accelerator license". So the $66 or $99.99 sits on top of whatever you already pay Zoom per seat, and both are annual commitments. Anyone comparing $99.99 against a standalone tool's monthly price is comparing an add-on to a product. Compare total cost per rep per month, and compare the commitment term too, because an annual billing cycle on a tool your reps have not adopted yet is the expensive part of this decision, not the sticker.

The prerequisite nobody puts in the comparison table

This is the line we think changes decisions, and it is sitting in plain sight in Zoom's setup documentation.

"Cloud recording must be enabled"

"Audio transcription must be enabled"

Source: Zoom support, Getting started with Zoom Revenue Accelerator (KB0059301), read by us 5 October 2026. The same article lists calendar integration with Zoom and minimum app versions, desktop 5.12.6 or later and mobile 6.3.0 or later.

Read it as a gate rather than a setting. You cannot have Zoom's live in-call guidance without your customer calls being recorded to Zoom's cloud and transcribed there. For plenty of teams that is already true and this changes nothing. For others it is the end of the conversation: a legal team that will not approve vendor-cloud storage of customer calls, a healthcare or financial services compliance line, a market where the recording consent conversation at the top of every call costs more than the coaching is worth.

If that is your situation, the question to ask every vendor on your shortlist is narrow and answerable: does the live guidance require the call to be recorded and stored, or does it work on audio that is processed and discarded? That one question splits this market more cleanly than any feature grid, and almost nobody asks it.

On the cheaper tier, the live help is billed by the second

This is the detail that makes Essentials and Premium a different kind of product rather than two sizes of the same one.

"A Zoom Revenue Accelerator Essentials license have access to AI sales assist as a time-based metered action using Zoom AI Credits (usage rounded up in 6-second increments)."

"Users assigned with a Zoom Revenue Accelerator Premium, Zoom Revenue Accelerator Elite, or add-on AI sales assist license can use AI sales assist without consuming AI credits."

Source: Zoom support, Using AI sales assist for Zoom Revenue Accelerator (KB0087752), read by us 5 October 2026. The same article adds: "Using this feature with a ZRA Essentials license will use AI Credits."

So at $66 the live layer is a meter, and at $99.99 it is included. That inverts the usual advice to start on the cheap tier and upgrade if people use it, because here usage is exactly what the cheap tier charges for. A team of ten reps who each run four hours of calls a day with the help switched on is a consumption line nobody modelled at purchase, and it is denominated in six-second blocks.

Two questions for the Zoom rep, in writing, before you sign Essentials. What does one AI Credit cost, and how many does a minute of sales assist consume? And what happens on a live call when the credit pool is empty: does the guidance stop mid-call, or does it overage?

Four surfaces for the recording, Zoom's own for the live layer

Two Zoom pages answer "where does this run" differently, and the gap between them is the answer.

"Record and analyze meetings across Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and in-person sessions so no critical insight is lost."

"available for Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phone and is accessible on both the Zoom web portal and Zoom desktop client"

The product page names four surfaces for recording and analysis. The availability line in the setup documentation names two, both Zoom's own, and the AI sales assist article names no third-party meeting platform at all. Stated carefully, because this is a documentation read: Zoom documents recording across Teams, Meet and in-person, and documents the live guidance for its own surfaces. We are not claiming the live layer is impossible in Teams. We are saying Zoom does not document it there, and that an undocumented capability is not something to build a rollout on.

Why would that be, structurally? Because of the same thing we found when we opened five vendors' integration directories looking for video platforms: live guidance needs a live audio path and a screen the vendor controls, and a meeting platform only owns those inside its own meetings. Zoom is the strongest possible version of the be-the-platform route, and even Zoom documents the live layer where it is the platform. The full version of that argument, with the five vendors and the four-hundred-and-four we found, is in coaching a rep during a Zoom or Google Meet call.

The practical consequence is boring and expensive: if your buyers send the invite as often as your reps do, some share of your pipeline happens in Teams or Meet, and on those calls you would be buying a recorder.

Zoom shipped AI role-play too, and it is metered on both tiers

Worth knowing if you were also looking at a practice tool, because it changes the shortlist.

Zoom's release notes date AI role-play to 16 July 2026, with additional language support in the same entry, and a 13 August 2026 entry adding the choice of whether role-play results stay private or go to a manager. The support article says Revenue Accelerator "uses AI to create and manage role-play scenarios that support sales coaching programs", covering "objection handling, discovery questions, and pitch delivery", run separately from real calls, and that it "uses Zoom AI credits".

Two things fall out. Role-play is credit-metered on Essentials and Premium both, unlike live sales assist which is unmetered from Premium up, so the tier logic differs feature by feature and the invoice is harder to predict than a seat price suggests. And the same article carries a sentence to take to procurement: "AI features may not be available for select verticals and select regional customers." If you sell in a regulated vertical or operate outside the United States, get that cleared before you plan a rollout around it. We looked at the practice-tool category separately in AI sales roleplay platforms.

The alternatives, sorted by what you are actually buying

"Alternative to Zoom Revenue Accelerator" means two different shopping trips, and conflating them is how teams end up with a recorder they wanted to be a coach.

ObjeqYes$99 Starter, $149 Pro, per seat per monthNoNo, audio processed in memory and never stored

Read the "none published" column as the real finding of the row. Zoom is the only one of the incumbents that tells you the price before the call, and that is a genuine point in its favour that we are not going to talk around.

If what you want is conversation intelligence, deal inspection, scorecards and CRM hygiene, Zoom Revenue Accelerator competes with Gong, Clari Copilot, Avoma and Chorus, and this is an analytics purchase. If what you want is a line on the rep's screen while the buyer is still talking, see real-time call coaching, where we sort eleven tools by the only thing that changes the call, which is when the help arrives.

Four questions for the Zoom rep

One. "What is the total per rep per month, including the Zoom plan, and what is the term?" The $66 and the $99.99 are add-ons and both are billed annually. Make them add the seat underneath and say the commitment out loud.

Two. "What does a minute of Sales Assist cost in AI Credits on Essentials, and what happens mid-call when the pool is empty?" Six-second billing increments are in the documentation. The price per credit is not.

Three. "Is there any way to get Sales Assist without cloud recording and transcription enabled?" Expect no. Get the no in writing, because that is the sentence your legal team needs, not a feature list.

Four. "Show me Sales Assist on a Microsoft Teams call." Not a Zoom meeting. The recording claim covers Teams; the availability line does not. This request resolves the whole section above in two minutes.

Where Objeq fits, and three places it does not

This page is on Objeq's site, so take the bias as read and weigh the limits, which are the useful half.

Objeq is a single-purpose tool that overlaps maybe a fifth of Revenue Accelerator. "Objeq is a Chrome extension with a side panel. It hears the customer through the Chrome tab the call plays in, so the rule is one line: the call runs in a Chrome tab on a computer, and Objeq sits next to it." No bot joins the meeting. Audio is streamed for transcription and analysis, processed in memory, and never stored. The published promise is under two seconds from the objection to the line on the rep's screen. $99 per seat per month for Starter, $149 for Pro, with a 3-day trial. No Zoom plan underneath, no annual commitment, and no cloud recording requirement, which is the difference that matters if that prerequisite is what stopped you.

And where it is the wrong answer, plainly. If you want deal boards, forecast rollups, scorecards across a team and CRM write-back, Objeq does none of that and Revenue Accelerator does all of it, so buy Zoom's product and do not let a $99 tool pretend otherwise. If your reps join from the Zoom desktop app rather than the browser, Objeq hears nothing and the honest answer is no. And if you are a contact center floor on Genesys or Five9, buy Balto or Cresta, because that is their product and it is not ours.

Where it does fit: four to twenty reps, calls in Chrome, no appetite for an annual contract, and the problem that keeps repeating is a rep going quiet on an objection nobody wrote a card for. It also runs in Hebrew end to end, which is the reason the product exists at all, and which none of the tools on this page do.

Questions people ask next

Is Zoom Revenue Accelerator the same as Zoom IQ for Sales? It is the same product line renamed. If you are reading a comparison written against "Zoom IQ for Sales", check its date, because the pricing tiers, Sales Assist, Ask ZRA and AI role-play all landed in mid-2026 and anything older describes a different product.

Can I buy Sales Assist without buying Revenue Accelerator? Zoom's AI sales assist documentation names an "add-on AI Sales Assist license" alongside the Essentials, Premium and Elite tiers, and says the add-on runs without consuming AI credits. The price of that add-on is not published. Ask for it by name.

Does it work on Zoom Phone calls? Yes. Zoom's prerequisites explicitly name a Zoom Phone standalone account as one of the qualifying account types, and the availability line names Zoom Phone alongside Zoom Meetings. If your outbound happens on Zoom Phone, this is the strongest fit on this page for you.

What is the cheapest way to get live objection help on a video call? It depends entirely on which call. Inside Zoom meetings, with recording already on and a paid Zoom plan in place, Revenue Accelerator Essentials at $66 is the cheapest published number in this category, with the metering caveat above. On Google Meet, on Teams, or where recording is not allowed, that route is not available and a browser-side tool on the rep's machine is. We walked the whole landscape in coaching during Zoom and Google Meet calls.

Should I just use Gong instead? Only if you want the analytics. On Gong's own conferencing documentation the mechanism is a bot that records, and the one live on-screen thing it names is real-time insight into a rep's speaking time, which is a habit metric and not an answer to a pricing objection. More in Objeq vs Gong and Gong alternatives.
